Seattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnettore his ACL on January 17 but did not undergo surgery until February 20. Charbonnet has been ahead of schedule, and the Seahawks opened his practice window before Week 4, on Thursday, October 1. He was a limited participant in Weeks 5 and 6 but was not ready to play. The star running back had until Thursday, October 22, to be activated from the PUP list; otherwise, he would revert to the season-ending injured reserve.
The Seattle Seahawks activate offensive weapon on the day of the deadline
According to Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic, the Seahawks activated Zach Charbonnet from the PUP list at the deadline, coincidentally ahead of the game against the Chiefs and Super Bowl MVP and league-leading rusher Kenneth Walker III. It remains unclear whether Charbonnet will play and how many touches he’ll get on Sunday Night Football, as he is eight months removed from surgery. ACL recoveries typically require nine to twelve months.

The Seahawks placed a second-year player on IR

In a corresponding move, the Seahawks placed Elijah Arroyo on injured reserve after undergoing shoulder surgery, per Brady Henderson of ESPN NFL Nation. Eric Saubert and Nick Kallerup are expected to take on expanded roles alongside starter AJ Barner, with the former second-round pick sidelined. Arroyo has struggled to stay healthy through his first two seasons, previously missing the final four regular-season games and the Wild Card and Divisional Round with a knee injury.
