For just the second time during the 2026 season and the first time since Week 1, the Green Bay Packers will be wearing their primary white road uniform when they take on the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on Sunday. The hosting Lions, meanwhile, will wear an alternate black uniform for the first time in 2026.
The Lions' alternate uniform -- called the "Motor City Muscle" uniform -- features a black jersey, black pants and a Honolulu blue helmet. This variation of the Lions' black alternate uniform debuted in 2024 and has never been worn against the Packers. Detroit is 4-2 overall while wearing the uniform since 2024.

Sunday will mark the third time in seven weeks that an opponent has worn a non-primary uniform against the Packers, with the Lions joining the Minnesota Vikings (Classic throwback uniform) and New York Jets (all-white alternate).
The Packers will counter the Lions' all-black look with their "Classic white" primary road uniform, featuring gold helmets, white jerseys, gold pants and all-white socks. While the Packers have previously played three road games in 2026, Sunday will mark just the second time that Matt LaFleur's team has worn the primary road uniform; away games against the Jets and Buccaneers saw Green Bay wear its primary home uniform to counter white uniforms worn by the home teams. The Packers lost to the Vikings wearing the road uniform in Week 1.
