MOSCOW, October 22. /TASS/. Russia’s fuel market is showing positive trends, with gasoline and diesel production increasing, the government said following a meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.
The Energy Ministry presented a report on the balance of petroleum product production and consumption. "Thanks to previously adopted compensatory measures, positive trends are being observed in the market for both gasoline and diesel fuel: production has increased, and inventories are being built up," the statement said.
"We are seeing positive trends in the fuel market, achieved through the joint efforts of federal and regional authorities, as well as industry companies," Novak was quoted as saying in the government statement.
Previously adopted measures in Russia’s fuel market have made it possible to increase gasoline and diesel production and begin building up petroleum product inventories, the government statement noted.
