Wade Ebersole was named CEO of Wailuku, Hawaii-based Maui Health, an affiliate of Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente, effective Oct. 25, after serving in the role on an interim basis since May 3.
Mr. Ebersole joined Maui Health in 2021 and was previously vice president and COO, according to an Oct. 19 health system news release. During his interim tenure, Maui Health worked with the state of Hawaii and Kaiser Permanente to secure funding for an approximately $65 million restoration of Kula Hospital.
Before joining Maui Health, he was chief administrative officer at Denver Health.
Maui Health operates Maui Memorial Medical Center, Kula Hospital and Clinic, and Lanai Community Hospital, and employs more than 1,600 people.
