New England Patriots wide receiver Romeo Doubs left Sunday’s NFL game against the New York Jets after getting hurt on a 42-yard pass from quarterback Drake Maye.
Doubs appeared to injure his shoulder while diving to make the catch. He visited the medical tent before heading to the locker room, leaving his status for the remainder of the game uncertain.

Romeo Doubs injury update
An initial assessment suggested Doubs may have suffered a left acromioclavicular (AC) joint sprain while diving for the pass.
Doubs would undergo X-rays to check for a possible clavicle fracture. If the scans came back negative, Doubs could receive a numbing injection or cortisone shot and potentially return to the game.
That remains a possibility rather than a confirmed plan. The X-ray results will help clarify the extent of the injury and whether Doubs can continue playing.
The injury came as the Patriots held a 7-3 first-quarter lead over the Jets. New England will be hoping the tests rule out a fracture, but Doubs’ status depends on the results and the team’s medical assessment.
