The Cincinnati Bengals aren’t really thinking about the NFL draft right now at the bye week.
And yet, it doesn’t hurt to check in, right?
As of this writing at the bye week, the 3-2 Bengals currently hold the No. 15 spot in the order.
A brief look at that, courtesy of Tankathon:
The Bengals will move up or down during the bye week based on the other results around the NFL.
This far out in the draft process, it feels like the Bengals could do pretty much anything in Round 1 next year, sans quarterback or wide receiver. Offensive line help is always ideal and a playmaker at tight end could be fun for Joe Burrow’s offense. But defensive issues in the second and third levels, plus contract hurdles for the likes of DJ Turner and Dax Hill, make it seem like that side of the ball will be the move.
Regardless, the Bengals hope they drop about 15 or more spots in the draft order by next year.
