If Texas is able to hold off suffering back-to-back collapses, the Longhorns may have to do so without one of their top edge rushers.
In the fourth quarter against Florida, Texas edge rusher Colin Simmons sustained an apparent leg injury at the end of the play that led him to exit the field with the help of members of the Longhorns' medical staff. He was seen putting no weight on his leg as he was walking off the field at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin.
The Longhorns held a 17-3 lead once in the game before the Gators tied it at 17-17 in the second half.
