The Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the UK welcomed a strong turnout of prospective residents, property buyers and investors to its latest Moving to Portugal Show & Seminars in London, highlighting Portugal’s continued appeal as a destination for relocation and investment.
Held at the Pestana Chelsea Bridge Hotel on Thursday, October 15, 2026, the event brought together visitors and specialists from across the Portuguese market for a full programme of seminars, a busy exhibition and individual consultations with experienced advisers.
The well-attended seminar sessions and high level of engagement throughout the exhibition reflected the continued demand for reliable, practical guidance on moving to Portugal. Visitor research also provided valuable insight into the questions and priorities shaping relocation and investment decisions.

Visitor research highlights the value of integrated professional guidance
Feedback collected from attendees at the show revealed the range of practical considerations influencing people’s decisions about relocating to Portugal.
Residency and visa requirements are still the leading area for further information, identified by 63% of respondents, followed by taxation at 51%. Information on house prices and available properties was sought by 40% of visitors, while 37% highlighted legal matters.
These findings highlight the importance of accessing expertise across several areas when planning a move to Portugal. Decisions relating to residency, taxation, property and financial planning are often interconnected, making it particularly valuable for prospective movers to have access to specialists from different disciplines, all under one roof on the same day.

This is a central benefit of the Moving to Portugal Show, where visitors can explore these considerations in a single day, ask questions specific to their circumstances and gain a clearer understanding of the steps involved in relocating.
Throughout the day, visitors had the choice of attending either the morning or afternoon seminar programme, with both sessions covering residency, taxation, property, pensions, legal matters and financial planning. The exhibition complemented these programmes by providing opportunities for individual conversations with experienced advisers.
Christina Hippisley, General Manager of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the UK, commented: “The strong turnout in London once again demonstrates Portugal’s continued appeal as a place to live, invest and build a future.
“What stood out for us was the quality of the conversations taking place throughout the day. Visitors were asking detailed, practical questions about residency, taxation, property and financial planning, reflecting the importance of making informed decisions before relocating, and how much more informed people are now than they were, even just a few years ago.
“Moving to another country involves several interconnected decisions and understanding how each one will affect your individual circumstances is essential. Our Moving to Portugal events bring experienced professionals together in one place, giving our visitors the opportunity to ask questions, explore their options and move forward with greater confidence.”

For participating companies, the event also provided an opportunity to engage directly with potential clients at different stages of their relocation and investment plans, from those still conducting their initial research to individuals actively considering property purchases and financial arrangements.
The London show forms part of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the UK’s established Moving to Portugal programme, which connects prospective residents, property buyers and investors with businesses and professional advisers operating in Portugal.
