New surveillance footage retrieved from inside Wish restaurant on Florida Road has been presented to the Durban High Court as the murder trial of the seven men accused of killing rapper Kiernan "AKA" Forbes and chef Tebello "Tibz" Motsoane continues to unfold.
The footage was shown in court on Friday, 23 October 2026, adding to a growing body of digital and forensic evidence the State is using to build its case. Police witness Constable Rajen Sanders took the stand and identified accused number five, Mhlaliseni Ndimande, as the man seen in the video wearing a white T-shirt, shorts and a black bucket hat.
According to Sanders' testimony, the man believed to be Ndimande was observed moving repeatedly in and out of the restaurant whilst on his phone. Notably, he allegedly sat alone in proximity to AKA's group and remained inside the venue when shots were fired. He then allegedly settled his bill before leaving the scene.

The prosecution is drawing on CCTV recordings from multiple locations, including King Shaka International Airport, to map out the alleged movements of the accused both before and after the fatal shootings in February 2023. Earlier footage from the airport appeared to show a man following AKA and his entourage through the terminal, and that individual is believed to be accused number four, Mziwethemba Gwabini.
Forensic fingerprint analysis also forms part of the State's evidence as it seeks to link each of the seven accused to the events of that night.
Despite the volume of evidence presented, all seven men have maintained their innocence, each entering a plea of not guilty. Collectively, they face 19 charges, including two counts of murder, five counts of attempted murder, and conspiracy to commit murder.
