Dear Evangelist Temilolu,
You keep talking about abstinence from sex, and I truly understand. I used to be a core believer in that notion, but now, I’m being swayed.
I’m 24; almost all the men coming my way, one way or the other, want sex before marriage.
As a Christian lady who believes in keeping the marriage bed undefiled, how do I deal with these in a way that doesn’t affect me?
It’s like I’m chasing every man coming my way because, at the end of the day, if you are not giving them, they are getting it outside but still want to keep you as the “perfect” bride-to-be, which on its own is bad because such a man is a bad breed. I’m sorry for this long message, and I truly wish you could answer.

My first prayer for you is that you do not fall by the wayside since you’re now being swayed! Ha. If only you knew your spiritual status, what you carry and the grace upon your life, your focus would be on how to make the most of your precious state right now and how to have the world practically at your feet before you cleave to any man!
I salute you, though you’re still rather young. I should salute your parents for raising you well and being intentional about your upbringing. May God bless you really well. If you could see the likely outcome of what would happen if you decided to go into premarital sex, you’d run away from every guy troubling you for sex.
Just one act with the wrong person could alter your life and scuttle God’s wonderful plans for your life. This is a very serious matter! It may not seem a big deal but I know a lot of women who are still sleeping around and in fact rejected by men because they lost a star or more while they were sleeping with every man that came their way.
Did you even know that you can end up sleeping with uncountable men because you want to be in a relationship that will lead to marriage and end up with none of them?
Did you know that the more people you sleep with, the more entangled you become with several men, multiple strange spirits and soul ties that would just confuse and scatter your life? A lot of people are playing with fire, and the fire is burning them so badly.
To think the female folk are always at the receiving end – from unwanted pregnancy to single motherhood to being stigmatised by society and being superbly taken advantage of by men who see single mothers as vulnerable, loose and cheap. You don’t even want to go that route. I reject it for you in Jesus’ name!
When I tell you God is super duper committed to those who are committed to Him, I know what I’m talking about. You can’t honour God with your body and not be supremely rewarded in one way or the other. The power of God you’re retaining while abstaining from sex could be what will rescue you from a particular battle you’re fated to fight in future.
Your purity could be your only saving grace some day. It is written in the Bible, “And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.” 1 John 5:19.
As far as your destiny is concerned, you must gather all the spiritual strength you can right now and pave the way for your dream life and ensure the devil doesn’t have an upper hand over your destiny.
If you are not defiling God’s temple, you have so much power to live the life of your dreams, provided you activate the power of God in you and ensure you are not ending up with the devil itself. Be patient, my dear.
Please, please, please spend this time developing yourself into a super woman-intellectually, financially, psychologically, emotionally, etc. A rare gem that every noble family wants to have, while praying to God fervently to give you your type. I wish you all the best!
