Magori arrived at the venue shortly before 10 am, with the crowd responding enthusiastically to his presence, a reception widely attributed to his detailed development agenda for the constituency.
Magori's pledges to Kitutu Masaba residents
Addressing those gathered, Magori laid out a broad development agenda, citing access to clean water, quality education, healthcare improvements, better road infrastructure, and youth employment creation as his core priorities should he secure the seat in 2027.

"For a long time, our beloved Kitutu Masaba has been neglected, and it is our time for things to change. Our people deserve better roads, improved healthcare, quality education, access to clean water, and meaningful opportunities for our youth. Development should not be a privilege for a few, but a right for every resident regardless of their location or status," Magori said.
He also used the occasion to reflect on the significance of the national holiday. "As we celebrate the heroes and heroines who fought for our freedom and continue to inspire our nation, we must also reflect on the challenges facing our people and the future we want our community," he said.
Transparency and accountability commitments
Beyond infrastructure and services, Magori committed to transparent bursary distribution for school-going children and equitable construction of new classrooms across the constituency. He also underscored his intention to uphold integrity and combat corruption if elected.
Among those who attended the Nyamira event were the Deputy County Commissioner of Manga sub-county, the Area Chiefs of Kemera and Manga, assistant chiefs, elected leaders, and members of the public.
National Mashujaa Day celebrations
At the national level, President William Ruto presided over the main Mashujaa Day event, accompanied by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki and Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, alongside other senior national leaders.
Mashujaa Day is observed annually on October 20 to honour Kenyans who contributed to the country's independence struggle and its ongoing development.
The government began decentralising national celebrations in 2015, rotating major events to different regions of the country. This year's national event was hosted in Eldoret, spotlighting the North Rift region's place in Kenya's history.
