PETALING JAYA: Three family members died in a collision involving two vehicles at Km90 of the Kuala Terengganu-Kuantan trunk road near the Bukit Bauk water treatment plant in Dungun, Terengganu, this afternoon.
Dungun police chief Nik Ab Halim Nik Mat said police received information about the crash at 5.15pm involving a multi-purpose vehicle and a Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle.
He said two people in the MPV, identified as Zulkefli Ishak, 32, and his wife, Norshila Zali, 36, were pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
The third victim, Zulkefli's younger brother, Alif Syukri Ishak, 18, died at about 7pm while receiving treatment at Dungun Hospital.
The MPV was travelling from Kuantan towards Kuala Terengganu, and the TNB vehicle was moving in the opposite direction, Bernama reported Nik Ab Halim as saying.
The two occupants of the 4WD sustained minor injuries.
