Over a decade ago, Noel Gallagher was quoted as saying, "My kids go to private school because I don't want them coming home talking like Ali G." Now, the Oasis icon has been roped into promo for the comedian's new movie, Ali G: Who Iz I?
Sacha Baron Cohen posted a clip of himself walking into a screening of his film and trying to throw out Noel. "You look like, what's his name, one of them Oasis twins, innit," he said, forcing Noel to stand up before the audience. "It's Nigel Gallagher, innit? 50-year-old white man trying to make a comeback after 20 years, so sad."
Amazon/MGM truncated the rollout of the release, so this promo was much needed. Also yesterday was Noel's appearance on Chicken Shop Date, in which he dissed vegetarians and joked about the meaning of "Champagne Supernova." Noel's in his comedy era.
