The Purdue Boilermakers host the Ball State Cardinals in men's basketball exhibition game on Sunday, Oct. 18.
The Boilermakers have lost three four-year stalwarts from their Elite Eight squad, but five contributors remain, along with an influx of newcomers. Coach Matt Painter is entering his 21st season.
The Cardinals are starting over under first-year coach Chris Capko, who most recently was associate head coach at SMU. Ball State last had a winning record in 2022-23.
