My primary concern is to ensure a fair and consistent approach is maintained for all market vendors. Our regular daily vendors operate from Monday to Saturday, consistently occupying and maintaining their usual spaces while contributing to the very purpose for which the market was established.
With the advertised events coming up utilising the Tapora Kai, it feels as though the long-standing vendors who have been a part of this market is being sidelined or pushed out the moment new events come in.
I would appreciate if our ongoing commitment and existing arrangements could be taken into consideration when accommodating requests of this nature. This will ensure that our interests are respected and that all vendors are treated fairly and equitably.
Why do we have to fight our way through with this treatment?
