The headliner of the Week 7 schedule comes on Sunday Night Football! It’s Kenneth Walker leading the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs (5-0) into Lumen Field to face his former team, the Seattle Seahawks (3-3). The 12s will be going crazy, and despite Seattle losing two straight games, oddsmakers like the Seahawks (-2.5) to be the first team to hand the Chiefs a loss.
Seattle hasn’t lose three-straight games since 2024 in the Geno Smith days. The Seahawks might desperate on Sunday Night following losses to the 49ers (32-29) and Broncos (17-14 OT). Seattle’s other loss to Washington was by two points (33-31), so the season could look much differently if they had a few bounces go their way. Seattle received some good news this week; Zach Charbonnet could return.
With Jadarian Price on IR, the Seahawks offense has struggled to run the ball. The Seahawks rank 18th in rushing yards per game (107.2) and are tied for 13th with 27.5 rushing attempts per game. Sam Darnold is coming off his worst game of the year with two interceptions and zero touchdowns and has bottom 10 ranks against zone coverage and with play-action. Charbonnet would be a sight for Darnold’s sore eyes.
Kansas City has been an underdog 13 times since 2021, and they’ve won nine of those games. Patrick Mahomes rolls into SNF with a collection of wins versus some poor teams. Lately, the Chiefs have beaten the Dolphins, Raiders, and Chargers — all teams likely to be drafting top 10 this year, plus the Colts the week prior. The two road games were at Las Vegas and Miami, so the Chiefs haven’t had to play in atmosphere like Seattle’s yet this season.
The Chiefs beat the Chargers 22-6 last game, and Mahomes didn’t have a touchdown pass for the first time this season. Kenneth Walker had another monster game with 128 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries. Walker set an NFL record with the most rushing yards through five games with a new team (665). His old team, the Seahawks, will probably have a few big hits and boos waiting for him when he totes the rock. If any team can slow him down, it would be Seattle, but can they?
Let’s dive into the numbers and see if we can’t find an additional sweat or two.

Expert picks & predictions for Chiefs at Seahawks
Vaughn Dalzell (@VmoneySports) likes Kenneth Walker to go Under his rushing prop:
“Kenneth Walker will make his return to Seattle and if there’s one team that can slow down KW3, it’s the Seahawks. Walker has the most rushing yards for joining a team through five games in NFL history at (665). Since he’s left, Seattle’s rushing attack has struggled, especially since rookie Jadarian Price went on the IR. While Walker is looking forward to it, I expect the fans and Seahawks defense won’t be so welcoming. His rushing prop is set at 87.5 and I expect that to climb past 90 yards as most of the money will come in on his Over rushing yards. Christian McCaffrey is the best running back Seattle has faced and he had 66 yards against the Seahawks on 11 carries. Walker should see at least 16-plus (prop is 18.5), so it’ll be a sweaty Under bet, but I’ll be fading Walker on Sunday Night Football.”

Quarterback matchup for Chiefs at Seahawks
· Kansas City: Patrick Mahomes – For the first time all season, Patrick Mahomes did not have a touchdown in his last game against the Chargers. However, Mahomes did go 23-of-30 (76.7%) for 272 yards and an interception. Mahomes has a 9:3 TD to INT ratio this season and has worked with the fourth-best game script per PlayerProfiler. Mahomes has the second-best play-action completion percentage (65.6%) thanks to the impact Walker brings. Mahomes is also fifth against zone with 71.7% completion rate. The Seahawks run the most zone in the NFL at 89.2%, so Mahomes could thrive as an underdog on the road, which has become a common theme in his career.
· Seattle: Sam Darnold – Darnold is coming off his worst game of the season, a 17-14 OT loss to Denver. Darnold finished with 278 yards on 27-of-51 (52.9%) and zero touchdowns to two interceptions. Darnold has seven touchdown passes to seven interceptions this year and a 60.4% completion percentage. Darnold had a career-high 67.7% completion percentage last season, so the decline of not having a run game is real. Darnold has a 54.5% completion percentage (25th) and 48.5% when pressured (11th). The only area where Darnold has excelled is the red zone. Darnold ranks top-five in completion percentage (64.7%) and catchable rate (89.5%). He ranks 30th in completion percentage against zone (62.4%) and 23rd in completion percentage versus man coverage (23rd). Seattle is favored, and it might be because of the defense or the rarity of Seattle losing three straight.
