A 27-year-old man was killed in Roodagi village near Muddebihal in Vijayapura district on Thursday.
The body of Ganesh Basappa Ambiger was found with his throat slit in his house.
His relative Suresh Manguli has given a complaint to the police suspecting the involvement of the victim’s wife Puja alias Akshata who has gone absconding since the murder.
The complainant said that the husband and wife, who were married just six months ago, were fighting over her alleged relationship with another man.
“She threatened him with dire consequences if he asked her questions about her past life. We suspect that she, along with the other man, killed her husband,” the complaint said.
A case has been registered in Muddebihal Police Station.
