Highlights! Alex Pereira’s Sister Throws Up DWCS Dud, UFC Future Left In Limbo

The final episode of Dana White’s Contender Series Season 10 went down without a hitch earlier tonight (Tues., Oct. 13, 2026) LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, but things did not go well for former UFC champion Alex Pereira’s sister, Aline Pereira.

It seems like we’ve been talking about Pereira’s sister fighting her way into the UFC for a long time, but Tuesday night was her official chance to punch her ticket to the big show and join “Poatan” on the UFC roster. It wasn’t going to be easy, though, as Pereira was matched up against young prospect Smilla Sundell, who has looked like a wrecking ball over her first two pro fights.

Unfortunately for Pereira, she wasn’t able to get ahead in this fight at all. Sundell’s forward movement, pace, and high volume output were evident the second the fight started. Pereira offered some solid check left hooks and lead jabs that landed and did some noticeable damage, but nothing that was going to be a show-stopper. She seemed limited in her own offense overall and wasn’t able to mix things up enough to gain sustained momentum.

In the end, it was Sundell who did more than enough over the course of three rounds to capture the win and walk away with the biggest victory of her career to date. In addition, Sundell has earned a UFC contract with her win and will be a welcomed sight to a women’s bantamweight division looking for fresh faces.
