The pan-Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, on Wednesday described its late leader emeritus, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, as a ‘custodian of Yoruba values’ following his passing at the age of 100.
Afenifere, in a statement jointly signed by its Leader and General Secretary, Oba Oladipo Olaitan and Mr Alade Rotimi-John, respectively, said Fasoranti would be remembered for his unwavering commitment to the organisation’s founding ideals.
The group also commended the late elder statesman for devoting much of his life to the pursuit of a just, equitable and progressive Nigeria.
