Obinna took to social media to share his feelings, linking the firing to a long-running online feud between himself and Mosiria.
"For the last 6 months the guy has been bashing me online, even saying things that he knows are not true but he was happy to do it. Now who is God: he has just been given a taste of his own medicine and he was fired."
" Now I am happy and celebrating and I hear people saying I should not celebrate another man's downfall, no I'm not celebrating the downfall, I'm celebrating that he's fired. You have all forgotten that he has been bashing me since I did Vurugu 1.0. I have planned to party about this and his fans are angry about it but I am happy," he said.
Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja officially dismissed Mosiria on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
County Secretary Machel Waikenda confirmed that Zipporah Njeri Mwangi, the Chief Officer for Culture, Arts and Tourism, would assume Mosiria's responsibilities in an acting capacity.
The timing of the sacking raised eyebrows across Nairobi, coming just days after Mosiria publicly declared his intention to contest the Nairobi gubernatorial seat in the 2027 General Election.
In response to his dismissal, Mosiria referenced The 48 Laws of Power, suggesting his downfall came from outshining his boss.
Mosiria also levelled serious allegations against Sakaja's administration, claiming their fallout began in December 2023 after he refused to facilitate procurement deals that would benefit individuals close to the governor.
He further alleged that his accounting powers were stripped, his former Health department budget slashed from KSh 1.2 billion to KSh 100 million, and that he was transferred multiple times, from Health to Environment and finally to Citizen Engagement.
He additionally claimed that directors within his docket had been instructed to bypass him and report directly to the governor.
Sakaja's administration framed the changes as an administrative reorganisation and had not formally addressed Mosiria's corruption allegations at the time of reporting.
Mosiria, for his part, maintained that the dismissal would not stop his gubernatorial campaign.
