Korea Investment & Securities has held a practical seminar for corporate human resources and finance officers in response to the government's push for a full revision of the Act on the Guarantee of Employees' Retirement Benefits and shifts in labor policy. The brokerage aims to strengthen its corporate network and cement its lead in the pension market by offering a one-stop solution spanning legal, labor and asset management issues during a period of structural change in retirement pensions.
Korea Investment & Securities said on the 12th that it hosted the Retirement Pension Academy on the 8th at TP Tower in Seoul's Yeouido district, inviting human resources and finance officers from companies. The briefing was organized into three sessions to address the practical challenges companies face amid rapidly changing legislation. The first session introduced ways to improve management efficiency once the fund-type retirement pension system takes hold, along with step-by-step guidelines for preparing for mandatory external funding of retirement benefits. The second session focused on the latest labor policy changes tied directly to wage and compensation systems. The final session presented "How to Make 200% Use of Korea Investment Pensions," which draws on the firm's asset management capabilities. The company shared solutions to the difficulties and practical issues corporate management faces in running retirement pensions, and explained how to use dedicated relationship managers who link comprehensive financial services across investment banking, going beyond pension management alone.
"As the retirement pension system enters a major turning point with the introduction of fund-type plans and mandatory external funding, corporate staff are facing growing concerns about how to respond," said Kim Do-hyun, head of the Individual Client Group at Korea Investment & Securities. "We will further upgrade our customized consulting and practical support so that companies can stay a step ahead of regulatory and institutional changes, continuing our role as a reliable pension partner."
