Paris Saint-Germain defeated Manchester City 4-2 in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, recovering from Erling Haaland’s second-half brace to secure victory at the Etihad Stadium.
According to The Guardian’s live report, PSG established a three-goal lead in the first half through Désiré Doué, Ousmane Dembélé and Vitinha before City responded after the break.

Haaland scored twice in the second half, but Maghnes Akliouche restored PSG’s two-goal cushion before the visitors survived a late penalty scare to claim all three points.
Doué opened the scoring in the 13th minute, cutting inside from the right and beating City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma with a low shot.
PSG doubled their lead two minutes later when Dembélé headed home after Doué returned the ball across the area following a cross from the French forward.
Vitinha made it 3-0 in the 32nd minute, putting PSG in control before half-time.

City responded after the interval, with Haaland reducing the deficit in the 53rd minute.
The Norwegian striker scored again in the 75th minute to give the hosts hope of completing a comeback.
However, Akliouche scored PSG’s fourth in the 62nd minute, restoring their three-goal advantage and leaving City with too much to do despite Haaland’s brace.
The closing stages produced another major moment when PSG were awarded a penalty after Matheus Nunes made contact with Nuno Mendes in the box.
Former Manchester City forward Ferran Torres stepped up to take the spot-kick in the 90th minute, but Donnarumma saved his effort to prevent PSG from extending their lead.
The Guardian reported that Torres’ attempt was directed towards the bottom-right corner, allowing Donnarumma to make the save.
The result handed PSG a 4-2 victory in an encounter that featured six goals and a late penalty save.
For City, Haaland’s two goals were not enough to prevent defeat, while Donnarumma’s save ensured that the hosts were denied a chance to narrow the margin further.
