Meghan Markle has had her fair share of awkward moments involving bouquets of flowers over the years, and now a resurfaced clip has put one blunder back in the spotlight.
During her time as a working royal, the Duchess of Sussex periodically found herself at the centre of floral-related scrutiny, including an occasion when she struggled with a royal aide over floral bouquets during a walkabout in Windsor in September 2023.
In the days after Queen died, Meghan - joined by Prince Harry, Prince William and Kate, the Princess of Wales - was captured working with royal aides to collect floral tributes before getting into a disagreement over what should happen to the bouquets.
And, in October 2018, Prince Harry was caught on camera stepping in when Meghan was handed a particularly large bunch of flowers, jokingly telling the well-wisher: 'You can’t give flowers that big to my wife, what is that all about?'
But as the couple prepares to return to Nottingham tomorrow for their first official outing together since coming back to the UK, social media users are revisiting an awkward past visit to the historic city.
On 1 December 2017, in their first official walkabout after announcing their engagement, Harry and Meghan were captured greeting fans outside the National Justice Museum and Nottingham Contemporary to mark World AIDS Day.

Meghan can then be seen smiling and gesturing toward the well-wisher in appreciation as she held onto another bouquet of sunflowers.
While Harry's gesture in helping her out may have seemed sweet, royal commentators noted that this alone posed a safety risk.
For security reasons, royal protocol typically requires aides to quickly collect gifts and flowers from senior royals to check for hidden items and keep walkabouts moving at an adequate pace.
After undergoing a strict security check, large quantities of flowers are usually redistributed to hospitals, churches or charities at the end of the day.
Keith Roy of the Monarchist League of Canada told Good To Know: 'The gifts are often given away to the different charities that they're highlighting.'
This week marks Harry and Meghan's first joint public appearance since moving back to the UK as 'private citizens', in which they will embark on a series of unofficial quasi-royal engagements in the East Midlands.

Following Meghan's Claridge's lunch with Malala and Harry's bumpy trip to the rugby, the couple will appear together at a number of charity events in Nottingham, including at a community food project established in the wake of the Grenfell Tower tragedy.

The Duchess of Sussex, 45, has also been unveiled as the new face of a Los Angeles charity supporting single mothers, wearing a £76 ($100) jumper that has already sold out.
The sweatshirt, embroidered with the words 'It's the little things' on the back and sleeve, was presumably chosen by Meghan.
She promoted the special edition cream and chocolate brown design shortly after sharing a video of Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, riding scooters through a grand English estate as a herd of deer wandered nearby.

The Sussexes are expected to visit three charities in Nottingham on Thursday, including the Community Recording Studio, where Meghan is due to take part in an acting workshop. One source said she will 'definitely' be returning to the stage and screen.
Amid rumours she is keen to secure a role in the next series of Guy Ritchie's Netflix drama The Gentlemen, a friend said: 'She's been sent lots of scripts, which she's looking at.'
