KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF) president Datuk Amarjit Singh Gill has been conferred the BrandLaureate Icon Leadership Award for Global Leadership in International Sports.
The award was presented by former Chief Justice Tun Md Raus Sharif, who is also The BrandLaureate’s patron, here last night.
In a statement today, MNCF said the award recognised Amarjit’s contributions to cycling and his role in strengthening Malaysia’s position in international sports leadership.
Amarjit expressed his appreciation for the recognition and dedicated the award to all those who had contributed alongside him to the development and advancement of cycling in Malaysia, Asia and globally.
“This award reflects the collective commitment of national federations, athletes, coaches, officials, partners and the many dedicated individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes,” he said.
