AYAGL reaffirms support for Tinubu’s energy sector reforms
The Arewa Youth Assembly for Good Leadership (AYAGL) has reaffirmed its support for President Bola Tinubu’s energy sector reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The assembly said effective implementation of the reforms required stable leadership and experienced personnel in key institutions, including the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).
Its President, Alhaji Danbature Abdul-Abdul-Hamid, stated this in a press statement issued on Friday.
The group expressed confidence in NNPCL Executive Vice President, Mumuni Dagazau, and announced a vote of confidence in his leadership.
AYAGL said it believed that continuity in leadership could help support efforts to improve downstream operations and strengthen institutional accountability.
It urged the Federal Government to remain focused on its economic reform plans and called on Northern youths to support the administration’s policies.
The assembly also urged its affiliate groups to promote stability in the petroleum sector and reject what it described as politically motivated attacks against public officials.
