Prithvi Shaw and Akriti Agarwal have reunited months after calling off their engagement earlier this year. The Indian cricketer and the influencer-actor have decided to give their relationship another chance after openly discussing what went wrong.
Akriti confirmed their reconciliation in a recent Instagram post, explaining how outside opinions influenced her earlier decision. She admitted that people close to her appeared to understand their relationship better than they did. As a result, she said she made the decision without having the honest conversation they deserved.

“When I called off our engagement, I let the opinions of people close to me who seemed to know our relationship better than we did influence how I saw my fiancé and our relationship,” Akriti wrote. She added that she now felt misguided and had not given their relationship a fair discussion. The couple have since spoken openly, understood each other and chosen to reunite.
Reports of their separation surfaced in July, while reports in September confirmed that they had parted ways without explaining the reasons. Akriti’s latest statement has now clarified their decision to reconcile. However, neither has revealed their plans for marriage or confirmed when they might take the next step.

Shaw and Akriti announced their engagement in March 2026 by sharing photographs from their lavish ceremony. Shaw wore a white sherwani, while Akriti dazzled in a red, white and gold lehenga. He captioned the announcement, “From sixes on the field to a lifetime of hits off it. She’s my perfect innings. #justengaged”. Reports suggested the couple began dating in 2024 before getting engaged two years later.
