Is the ‘Clayface’ Movie Streaming on Netflix, Prime Video or HBO Max?

If you want to see some truly disturbing body horror on the big screen this spooky season, then you’ll want to grab a ticket to see Clayface, the new DC Comics horror movie opening in movie theaters this weekend.

Directed by James Watkins, with a screenplay written by horror king Mike Flanagan and Oscar-nominated screenwriter Hossein Amini, Clayface stars Tom Rhys Harries as a fictional movie star named Matt Hagen, who undergoes an experimental facial reconstruction surgery that leads to his body’s transformation into clay. (I guess Claybody isn’t as catchy a nickname!)

And yes, Clayface is a villain in the Batman comics, which means this is technically a Batman movie. But as an R-rated body horror movie, this one definitely isn’t for kids. Also starring Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella, and Eddie Marsan, Clayface will deliver the biggest scares on the big screen. But if you’d rather wait to watch it at home, read on to find out when and where we expect to see the Clayface movie on streaming.

Where to watch Clayface movie:

Right now, the Clayface movie is only available to watch in a movie theater when it opens in theaters on Friday, October 23. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. However, we do expect the Clayface movie to be on streaming eventually.

Is the Clayface movie streaming on Netflix?

Clayface is not streaming on Netflix and likely will not be on Netflix any time soon, due to the fact that the film is a Warner Bros. release, will have a streaming home on the Warner Bros.-owned streaming service, HBO Max. If you want to watch the new Clayface movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms, or wait for it to stream on HBO Max.

All the new WB theatrical movies end up streaming on HBO Max, though the wait period has varied by title. Evil Dead Burn, for example, was released on digital about one month after opening in theaters, and began streaming on HBO Max a little under three months after it was released in theaters. If Clayface follows a similar release pattern, you may see Clayface on digital around late November 2026, and streaming on HBO Max around mid-January 2027.

But that’s pure speculation. The Warner Bros. home releases have varied by title. If you want to see Clayface right away, your best bet is to catch the movie in theaters.
