A judicial magistrate in Karachi’s East District has issued a non-bailable arrest warrant for Dania Shah in a case involving the alleged circulation of private videos of late television personality Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain.
According to media reports, the court directed police to arrest Dania Shah and present her at the next hearing.
During the proceedings, her lawyer told the court that she could not appear due to illness. The defence requested an exemption from personal appearance, but the court rejected the plea.
The magistrate expressed displeasure over her absence and ordered authorities to produce her before the court. The court adjourned the hearing until October 28, 2026.
The case stems from a complaint filed by Aamir Liaquat’s daughter under Pakistan’s cybercrime laws. She accused Dania Shah of involvement in the circulation of her late father’s private videos.
The case remains under judicial proceedings, and the court has not announced a final verdict.
