The prices of gold witnessed an increase in the local market on Friday, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola rising by Rs2,800 to settle at Rs440,636, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs2,401 to Rs377,774, while 10 grams of 22-karat gold rose by Rs2,201 to Rs346,305. In the international market, the price of gold increased by $28 to $4,181 per ounce, the association reported. Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs108 to Rs6,256, while the price of 10 grams of silver rose by Rs93 to Rs5,363. The price of silver in the international market also increased by $1.08 to $57.78 per ounce, the association added.
