KOTA BARU: The status of Perikatan Nasional's (PN) case against the Registrar of Societies (RoS) over its suspension and the coalition's preparations for the Melaka state election will be the main agenda at a meeting in Kuala Lumpur tonight.
PN secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said Bersatu leaders had been invited to the meeting at the Pas headquarters tonight.
However, the Pas secretary-general said it was up to Bersatu leaders to decide whether to attend."
On the seven seats allocated to PN for the upcoming Melaka polls, Takiyuddin said they would be distributed among the coalition's component parties.
He said Bersatu would not be included in the allocation as the party had decided to use its own logo in the election.
The five PN component parties are Pas, Gerakan, the Malaysian Indian People's Party (MIPP), Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia and Pejuang.
Takiyuddin, the Kota Baru member of parliament, said the distribution of the seven seats would also be discussed at the meeting, adding that the number of seats available was limited.
He said the coalition would have to work out an appropriate distribution among the parties involved.
