Aliyah Boston closed her fourth WNBA season with a message of gratitude. One of the responses came from Indiana Fever teammate Lexie Hull, who praised Boston’s basketball growth and added a personal touch about her life away from the court. The exchange was lighthearted, but it also reflected the connection between teammates as they looked back on a season that ended earlier than they hoped.
A season of growth for Boston
Boston posted a collection of photos from the season and reflected on reaching Year 4. Hull replied that Boston was an even better dog mom than basketball player, then added that she was proud of her teammate.
The joke referenced Boston’s dachshund, Ozzy, but Hull’s message also recognized how much Boston accomplished on the court. The Fever center averaged 16.1 points, eight rebounds, three assists, 1.5 steals and 1.2 blocks per game. She also expanded her role as a perimeter shooter, making 40.6% of her three-point attempts and averaging 1.1 made threes per game.
That shooting development gave Indiana another way to create space around Clark and Mitchell. Boston finished the season as one of the Fever’s primary scoring options, while continuing to contribute as a rebounder and defender. Her growth has become an important part of how Indiana’s offense can function.

Indiana heads into a pivotal offseason
The Fever finished the regular season with a franchise-record 28 wins, but their playoff run ended in the first round against the Aces. Hull’s comment came amid a wave of teammates’ posts and replies as players reflected on the season.
Boston’s development will matter as Indiana works to improve its roster. The front office has identified frontcourt depth and defense as areas to address, and keeping its core players together will be part of the offseason conversation. The team also faces decisions around free agency and Clark’s future contract.
Hull’s note was playful, but it landed during a moment when the Fever were taking stock of what they built together. Boston’s season offered plenty of individual progress, even though Indiana fell short of its postseason goals. The exchange provided a small, personal glimpse of teammates supporting one another as they turn toward the next year.
