The Los Angeles Lakers will look for their third win in the preseason when they take on the Golden State Warriors at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Tuesday.
The Lakers, however, will have to do it without Luka Doncic, who was ruled out. This will be the second time the hotshot guard will sit out against the Warriors after missing last week’s game. Golden State beat Los Angeles, 124-98, at Chase Center.
The 27-year-old Doncic is coming off a hamstring injury, which sidelined him in last year’s playoffs. He has looked great in the preseason, and coach JJ Redick allayed concerns about the six-time All-Star, as reported by ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.

“Redick said Luka Doncic is ‘getting the night off’ and added ‘no injury’ for the LAL star,” wrote McMenamin on X.
“(Camerno) Carr, (Adou) Thiero, (Collin) Sexton, and (Ziaire) Williams are also out and are ‘day-to-day’ with their injuries.”
Walker Kessler, meanwhile, will make his debut for the Lakers in the preseason.
The Lakers are 2-1, while the Warriors are 2-2.
Doncic has embraced the responsibility of carrying the Purple and Gold following the departure of LeBron James. While the Lakers are not as terrifying on paper compared to other star-filled rosters, they will always have a chance to win as long as Doncic, the reigning scoring champion, is healthy.
Take it from Kevon Looney, who is in his first season in Los Angeles.
“When you got a guy like Luka going into the game, you feel like you can beat anybody. He’s going to be the best player on the court, probably every night we’re out there,” said Looney.
Last season, Doncic averaged 33.5 points, 7.7 rebounds, 8.3 assists, and 1.6 steals in 64 games.
