Kylie Minogue, Jonathan Groff, and Catherine Tate have joined the voice cast of Bad Fairies, starring alongside Wicked actor Cynthia Erivo.
Minogue is known for her roles in Neighbours, Moulin Rouge and Street Fighter, among others. Groff has been featured in Hamilton and Tate has been in Big School.
The film hails from Warner Bros Animation and Locksmith Animation, and is described as an “original musical comedy that follows a delightfully subversive gang of fairies as they shake up their magical world.”
Directed by Megan Nicole Dong and co-directed by DreamWorks animation veteran Olivier Staphylas, the film features Cynthia Erivo as Jayne Staplegun, Kylie Minogue as Clowder the Cat Witch, Jonathan Groff as Robin Goodfellow, and Catherine Tate as the Fairy Gothmother.
“I’m so excited to be part of Bad Fairies, alongside the incredible Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Groff and such a brilliant cast of voices,” Minogue said in a statement.
“And getting to play both a cat and a witch? It is a whole lot of fun,” she added.
Rounding out the cast are Serrana Su-Ling Bliss as Fei Chang, James Acaster as Stickers, Dee Bradley Baker as Groundbeef, and Ncuti Gatwa as Butterwort, with original songs by Tony-winning duo Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss and production by Carolyn Soper.
