The Ohio State Buckeyes will be missing some key players for their big clash against Indiana. Offensive lineman Austin Sievereld and running back Ja’Kobi Jackson were both ruled out earlier in the week. However, there is some good roster news for the Buckeyes ahead of the big game.
Per On3’s Pete Nakos, Ohio State will have wide receivers Brandon Inniss and Devin McCuin as well as linebacker Christian Alliegro all available against Indiana. However, wideout Brock Boyd, who was listed as questionable, will remain a game-time decision.
Having both McCuin and Innis will be a big boost to the Buckeyes offensively. While superstar wideout Jeremiah Smith has been grabbing the headlines with his Heisman-worthy campaign, McCuin and Inniss have been the second and third-most productive receivers on the team. McCuin is behind Smith in terms of receptions (17) and receiving yards (245). Meanwhile, Inniss has 10 catches for 147 yards on the season. Smith will undoubtedly be quarterback Julian Sayin’s primary option, but it will be good to have as many receiving weapons as possible against the Hoosiers.

Meanwhile, Alliegro’s presence is also a big plus on defense. The senior ranks tied for sixth on the team with 20 total tackles. He also has two passes defended and a fumble recovery. The Hoosiers’ two-headed running back monster of Turbo Richard and Lee Beebe Jr. has been stellar this season. Both have rushed for over 550 yards and have combined for nine touchdowns. Having a veteran like Alliegro will go some way towards helping slow them down and force quarterback Josh Hoover to beat them.
