Three Georgia Bulldogs have been projected as first-round picks in USA TODAY Sports' latest 2027 NFL mock draft. The 2027 draft is loaded with talent and Georgia players are expected to go early and often.
Georgia linebacker Chris Cole is predicted to be the first Bulldog off the board at pick No. 17. Cole has shown his elite athleticism this season along with a lot of potential as a pass rusher. Cole had a breakout game against the Oklahoma Sooners where he returned a fumble for a touchdown and got the better of Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer.
"Few defensive players have stood out this season the way Cole has," Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz writes. "Already an adept blitzer, the 6-3, 225-pound linebacker has taken his game to the next level as a rangy, hyperactive presence at the second level."
After Cole, Middlehurst-Schwartz predicts that star cornerback Ellis Robinson will be the No. 19 pick in the first-round. Robinson already has an acrobatic interception this season and has been sticky in coverage.
"Robinson offers the size and athleticism to hang in man coverage as well as the coverage instincts and ball skills to thrive in zone looks," Middlehurst-Schwartz wrote on Robinson. The former five-star recruit has a bunch of potential and is living up to the billing as an elite recruit.
At pick No. 21, safety KJ Bolden is predicted to be selected. Bolden has had a strong start to the season and is "extremely versatile in coverage and can find the ball in a hurry" for wherever he ends up in the NFL.
Of course, more Georgia players will have a shot to work their way into the first-round conversation as the season continues. As it stands, there's a lot that NFL draft scouts love about Georgia's defense.
