The New Orleans Saints entered the weekend with a question mark as it pertains to the playing status of wide receiver Chris Olave in Week 6.
Olave isn’t injured, but he is dealing with an illness that forced him to sit out the first two days of practice this past week before he turned in a limited session on Friday.
After turning in that limited practice, Olave was given the questionable tag, and he did not have it removed on Saturday, which kept his status up in the air.
As we turn the page to Sunday, here’s what we know about Olave’s status ahead of the Week 6 contest against the New York Giants.

Is Chris Olave playing today?
Yes, Olave is slated to suit up in Week 6 against the Giants.
Here’s the latest from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, who says Olave is expected to play despite his illness and questionable tag.
“Saints RB Alvin Kamara (back) and WR Chris Olave (illness) are both listed as questionable and both expected to play, sources say,” Rapoport reported.
This was pretty much the expectation all along, despite Olave having the questionable tag.

Illnesses rarely keep a player from suiting up, and that’s especially true when that illness hits the player early in the week, which is what happened with Olave this past week.
Chris Olave start or sit advice

Olave is coming off a quiet game last week in which he tallied just four catches for 46 yards, which was his worst yardage output of the season after he posted at least 86 yards in each contest before that, including three games north of 100 yards.
However, despite that disappointing showing, Olave still ranks as WR5 overall, per Fantasy Pros, which makes him a locked-in starter, regardless of matchup.
Speaking of matchup, the Giants present a middle-of-the-road one, with New York ceding the 14th-fewest fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season, according to CBS Sports.
That’s obviously a positive for Olave, but, again, you’re starting him no matter what.
