A land dispute involving veterans of the 1980s National Resistance Army (NRA) liberation struggle has left authorities in Nakaseke District seeking a permanent solution, after police deployed on the contested plots to prevent violent clashes.
The dispute concerns a 255-hectare chunk of land carved out of an original 900-hectare (square mile) estate located at Gomero-Ndalagi Village, Ngoma Town Council. The land is identified as Plots 32, 33, 34, and 35 (formerly Block 981, Plot 16) in Bulemezi.
