Apple has launched its newest Siri Remote alongside the new Apple TV 4K. Here's what's changed and which Apple TV models it works with.
On Tuesday, Apple updated its Apple TV 4K. At the same time, Apple also released a new Siri Remote to go along with it.
The remote itself looks nearly identical to its predecessor. What's changed, however, is that it now supports the Find My app and Precision Finding.
Now, if you lose the remote, you can use an iPhone to locate it easily. Additionally, it also has a speaker that can play a sound to help you locate it.
Apple notes that Precision Finding requires an iPhone Duo, iPhone Air, iPhone 17, or iPhone 17 Pro.
The fourth-gen Siri Remote is compatible with the following Apple TV devices:
- Apple TV 4K (4th generation)
- Apple TV 4K (3rd generation)
- Apple TV 4K (2nd generation)
- Apple TV 4K (1st generation)
- Apple TV HD
And, if you're inclined, it will connect to your Mac too, albeit with limited functionality without additional software.
