Cádiz Club de Fútbol officially announced on Monday the dismissal of Albert Celades as first-team head coach. The club’s Board of Directors made the decision after assessing the team’s performances in recent weeks.
In a brief official statement, the club confirmed that the Catalan coach’s employment had been terminated with immediate effect. The board thanked him for his work and wished him every success in his future professional endeavours.
Celades’ tenure thus comes to an end after a spell defined by the pressure to meet the targets set at the start of the season. The team’s inconsistency in recent matches ultimately prompted the club’s leadership to seek a change in the dugout.
Further details about the restructuring of the coaching staff and the identity of the new head coach who will take charge at Cádiz will be announced in the coming days.
