Ruben Amorim will not hold his usual pre-match press conference ahead of Milan’s Serie A clash with Atalanta at San Siro on Sunday. He will skip next Saturday’s briefing before the trip to Udinese too.
According to MilanNews24, there is nothing unusual behind the decision. The arrangement was planned well in advance with the club and is purely down to Milan’s packed schedule across Serie A and the Europa League.
Milan boss Amorim prioritises Milanello work amid Europa League schedule
Amorim already faced the media on Thursday night in Salzburg, after Milan’s Europa League fixture. The same will happen next week, when he speaks in Bournemouth following the third round of the league phase against the Cherries on 22 October.
With those European commitments falling so close to the domestic fixtures, the Portuguese coach has chosen to use the extra time on the training pitch at Milanello rather than in front of the cameras.

Amorim, who is usually expansive on tactics and wider talking points in his pre-match briefings, will still speak to the media after both games, against Sarri’s Atalanta and in Udine.
