The San Francisco 49ers are 5-0, but the most impressive part of their undefeated start might be how often they have had to win without everything going according to plan.
On this episode of the 49ers Roundtable, Halk breaks down San Francisco's wild 32-29 road win over the Seattle Seahawks, including Brock Purdy's late-game composure, Mike Evans' huge performance and the young defenders who stepped up with Nick Bosa sidelined.
We also dive into the growing injury problems surrounding the receiving corps, Deebo Samuel's hamstring issue and why Brandin Cooks could suddenly have a much larger role.
Then comes the controversy. Dre Greenlaw's one-game suspension will keep him out against Washington, creating an especially interesting matchup with Jayden Daniels and his ability to take over games with his legs.
Halk also examines Mykel Williams' return, the emergence of San Francisco's defensive depth and why this team's ability to survive missing stars may be even more important than the stars themselves.
Finally, we preview Monday Night Football against the Commanders and ask the biggest question of all: Are the 49ers the best team in football right now?
