Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) Space on Wheels mobile exhibition bus was stationed on Saturday at the Dindigul Book Festival currently under way on the Anguvilas Higher Secondary School grounds. The main objective was to raise awareness about space science and technology among the public, particularly students.
Dindigul Collector Durgamoorthi inaugurated the event. She urged the public, particularly the students to visit the exhibition bus and learn about the key features. The exhibition featured the scale models of India’s premier launch vehicles and missions. The exhibition bus is stationed at the venue for the weekend.
The Collector urged the public to attend the book festival and make it a grand success. Apart from the cultural programmes, world cinema was also being screened as part of the festival. A donation box has been placed on the premises for interested people to donate books. A total of 126 book stalls have been set up for this edition of the book festival.
