14 Minutes That Changed Her Life! White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia Exits After Just Five Days
Katie Zacharia is leaving her position as White House press secretary after only five days on the job, following a turbulent start marked by criticism of her first press briefing and questions about her professional credentials.
Her debut briefing on October 13 lasted just 14 minutes, during which she took questions from reporters representing only three media outlets before ending the session.
The controversy intensified after Zacharia acknowledged that she had not passed the bar exam, despite previously describing herself as a lawyer during media appearances. Her legal background and qualifications subsequently came under increased scrutiny.
President Donald Trump said he had advised Zacharia to reconsider the position, arguing that she had been treated unfairly by the media. Reports on October 16 indicated that she was transitioning out of the role.
Her departure marks an unusually short tenure for a White House press secretary and raises fresh questions about the administration’s communications strategy.
