The resourceful Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) is staying put in Emmerdale after her plot to scheme thousands out of Jimmy (Nick Miles) went awry – and it’s all thanks to Joe Tate (Ned Porteous).
Sadie returned to the village last month after two decades away on a mission to get her hands on dead Jimmy’s missing money, claiming that she’d been seeing him for three years behind his wife Nicola’s (Nicola Wheeler) back.
The truth, however, prevailed on the day of Jimmy’s funeral, with pariah Sadie exposed to all those in attendance.
With her allegiance with Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) having crashed and burned, she was left with nothing and no-one and thus resolved to leave the village once and for all.
That is, until Joe crossed her path. Still grieving the loss of his beloved Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley), Joe has been on a downward spiral for weeks, much to the concern of Kim (Claire King).
In a bid to make him see sense, Kim gave him yet another pep talk after he almost drove his car while under the influence of alcohol.
DS Thea Ramsden (Chelsea Edge) managed to foil his efforts to drive but Kim remained worried about Joe – and with good reason, as he sought help from Sadie to seek revenge on all those he blames for what happened to Dawn.

Elsewhere, Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) prepared to say goodbye to his loved ones ahead of his day in court.
If tonight’s cliffhanger left you desperate to find out what’s next then you’re in luck as we’ve got all the deets on Monday’s (October 12) visit to the Dales.
What happens next in Emmerdale? Spoilers for Monday, October 12 episode
Monday’s episode sees a series of mystery letters delivered around the village. Joe is quick to disregard his while Nicola knows exactly who hers came from – and bins it without wasting a minute.
Later, Joe is seen with a brief case – as a new plot is put into motion.
Sadie, meanwhile, seeks out Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly) and urges her to hear her out. Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy), meanwhile, spots Sadie and gives her quite the telling off.
Ruby, however, is sympathetic as Sadie explains about her past abusive relationship. Ruby is reeled in – and Sadie grins, delighted to have won her over.

Kim is pulled over by the police but DS Ramsden is soon on the case and lets her go, much to Kim’s shock. Thea is pleased, telling Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy) that she’s made Kim think that she has her back.
The revelation leaves Serena unnerved, worried about just how far Thea is willing to go to get what she wants. One thing is for sure, however, and it’s that Ramsden will stop at nothing!
Elsewhere, Vinny receives comfort from Mandy (Lisa Riley) and Paddy (Dominic Brunt), who are quick to assure him that he’ll be back home with them in no time.
Vinny isn’t as optimistic and says his goodbyes as he prepares for court. Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) reminds him about the conversation they had previously.
It has been confirmed that Vinny will be leaving Emmerdale – but just how will the court date pan out?
Emmerdale airs these scenes Monday, October 12 at 8pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX or YouTube.
