The parents of Aijing, a Chinese member of the group A2O LITE, have been embroiled in a wage arrears controversy, prompting some Chinese fans to suggest raising or lending money to help resolve the debt.
Recently, there have been reports stating that some fans created group chats to discuss ways to assist with Aijing’s parents’ debt issues.
One fan proposed lending ¥1,000 CNY (about $150 USD) and coordinating fundraising efforts with major fan accounts. The idea was to help through loans rather than donations, with the expectation of being repaid once the parents’ financial situation improves.
Another fan suggested creating a group chat involving Aijing’s mother to gather those willing to lend money.
There were also opinions advocating support to ensure Aijing can continue her activities without being burdened by her parents’ debt problems. However, others responded that repaying debts is the parents’ responsibility and fans should not intervene.
The controversy stems from allegations of unpaid wages by a Beijing-based education company run by Aijing’s parents.
Former employees claim wages were not paid, and on October 14th, Aijing’s mother admitted to the financial downturn and debt disputes in an apology posted on Weibo, stating she would not evade responsibility.

She also clarified that her daughter is not involved in the company’s operations or debt disputes and hoped criticism would not be directed at Aijing.
The court-enforced execution amount confirmed under the company and parents’ names is about ¥3.45 million CNY ($515,529 USD). However, it is unclear if this entire amount represents unpaid wages.
