After his legendary UFC career, Georges St-Pierre has moved over into acting and more recently, podcasting. His latest episode got the internet buzzing, as it tackled a topic rarely discussed properly in the hypermasculine combat sport.
“GSP” caught MMA fans off guard, as he asked on social media “is a man who has sex with men automatically gay?” The post included a short clip with St-Pierre asking if men having sex in prison — or in general — “make them homosexual,” before discussing the nuances to sexuality.
Is a man who has sex with men automatically gay? 🤔

Let me know what you think.https://t.co/WH98GtMbZspic.twitter.com/gspFzfVmFZ
The post quickly became a trending topic on Twitter (or X), garnering over 1 million views, with thousands of comments in the platform, as of this writing.
The topic certainly came out of left field for the MMA fanbase, but St-Pierre actually had a pretty healthy and informative discussion with an experienced psychologist and sex therapist. Outside of the caption and clipped video designed to generate clicks, St-Pierre and Dr. Lauri Betito tackled a lot more topics for sex education, including performance anxiety, female orgasm, beauty standards and trauma among others.
That naturally didn’t stop the memes though.
“George has done a little too much jiu jitsu,” one commenter wrote.
“This automatically drops him 3-4 spots on the GOAT List,” another fan wrote.
Most of the other replies were MMA fans shocked at the topic.

St-Pierre, now 45, last fought in 2017, where he became a two-division UFC champion. He eventually tried to come back looking for a super fight with then champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, but it never got past UFC negotiations and led to his official retirement in 2019.
