The Los Angeles Rams are catching criticism after their Week 6 loss, with Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Kendrick Bourne taking a shot at his NFC West rival on social media.
Following Arizona’s 18-16 win over Los Angeles on Sunday, Bourne posted on Instagram: “Them boys ain’t the same wit out LaFleur.”
Bourne was referring to Mike LaFleur, the Rams’ former offensive coordinator who left the organization to become the Cardinals’ head coach. Bourne knows the NFC West well, too, after spending multiple seasons with the San Francisco 49ers before joining Arizona this offseason. He finished the game with five receptions for 47 yards.
The Rams struggled to put away their division rival despite taking a late lead. Matthew Stafford connected with tight end Colby Parkinson for a 6-yard touchdown with 47 seconds remaining, giving Los Angeles a 16-15 advantage.
However, Arizona quarterback Jacoby Brissett quickly moved the Cardinals into field-goal range, and kicker Chad Ryland drilled a 43-yarder as time expired to seal the victory.
The defeat dropped Los Angeles to 2-4, while Arizona improved to 2-4 with its second consecutive road win in the Los Angeles area.
