SkyTrain’s third-ever celebrity guest voice since Seth Rogen in 2018 and Christine Sinclair in Summer 2026 could be someone more accustomed to entertaining stadium crowds.
TransLink is teasing a very temporary new addition to SkyTrain’s automatic pre-recorded voice announcements with a series of emoji puzzles, inviting riders to identify the songs and work out the artist behind them.
“A new celebrity guest voice is coming to SkyTrain,” reads the teaser posted onto TransLink’s social media today.
“Emojis = song titles” and “Guess the songs = guess the voice,” it continues.

The public transit authority will reveal the mystery guest on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026. But anyone familiar with a certain pop superstar’s catalogue may already have a pretty good guess.
TransLink’s timing today offers another hint: the artist associated with those songs is scheduled to perform five concerts at BC Place Stadium on Oct. 14, 16, 17, 20 and 21. The concert run begins on the same day as TransLink’s reveal, and continues into next week.
The public transit authority’s teaser has been flooded with comments, with public transit users and fans overwhelmingly pointing to the same singer. Judging by the responses, the emoji clues may have made this mystery a little too easy to solve ahead of tomorrow’s reveal.
The six groups of emoji clues appear to point to the following songs:
“Locked Out of Heaven”

TransLink
“Treasure”

TransLink
“Marry You”

TransLink
“Leave the Door Open”

TransLink
“Talking to the Moon”

TransLink
“Die With a Smile”

If the clues mean what they appear to mean, concertgoers could soon recognize a very familiar voice before they even reach the stadium.
Let’s just say the clues point to… a Hawaiian-born hitmaker with a taste for “24K Magic” and enough “Uptown Funk” to liven up the morning commute.
He may prefer to “Leave the Door Open,” but we suspect SkyTrain’s door chime will have the final warning on that one.
