OxygenOS, the flavor of Android for OnePlus devices, is officially going away as the brand steps out of the global market, with Oppo’s ColorOS taking over starting with Android 17. And, now, we have an official list of OnePlus devices getting Android 17 starting later this month.
To quickly summarize, OnePlus shut down its global operations in July, but confirmed software support will remain for existing devices through their promised lifespans. But that wouldn’t be on OxygenOS, with supported devices instead moving to Oppo’s ColorOS starting with Android 17.
In all reality, differences between OxygenOS and ColorOS are hard to find as Oppo’s software styling took over OnePlus’ experience years ago.
The transition is officially underway later this month, though.
OnePlus has confirmed the move with a schedule detailing when to expect ColorOS and Android 17 to land on various OnePlus devices. It starts on October 29 with the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus Pad 4, continuing to the OnePlus 15R and OnePlus 13 series the following day. Through Q1 of 2027, devices including the OnePlus Open, OnePlus 12, and more will be updated.
