It was the perfect scenario for the Carr family on Saturday afternoon, with CJ, Notre Dame’s starting quarterback, free due to an off-week to see his little brother, Tommy, make his first career start for their grandfather Lloyd’s former employer Michigan.
Last weekend, the younger Carr subbed in for previous starter Bryce Underwood and led a second-half comeback victory over Penn State. Tommy was then named the start against Indiana, as the reigning National Champions came to “The Big House,” after going 5-of-7 for 47-yards against the Nittany Lions.
Was almost a magical first start, was the Wolverines took the Hoosiers into overtime, but couldn’t find enough offense to find the end zone, losing 13-6. Carr had a solid game, completing 20-of-32 attempted for 167-yards but did think an interception.
It was a special moment for the Carr family, one that they’ll remember forever. You can’t forget the fact that they now have two major college starting quarterbacks in college football.
